Amazing Success at Awards!
Jagged Edge Hair Design achieved remarkable success in a recent Essex college hair competition, where they won four of the competition categories and two apprentices were nominated for ‘student of the year’.
Apprentices had to submit a photograph of a ‘commercial look’ for both women’s and men’s styles.
- Sara Luff gained first place in the Men’s category
- Analee King gained firts place in the Women’s category
- Madison Thurston gained second place in the Women’s category.
Both Madison Thurston and Annalee King submitted a portfilio for ‘Student of the Year’. They both gained a place in the final six, where they went on to present a model to a panel of three judges. The competition theme was ‘Tribal’, so both had one week to organise a model, clothing, make up, and to create a hairstyle to refelect the theme. A challenging task in which they excelled themselves. A big ‘well done’ to them.
The senior creative team also produced a very professional ‘catwalk’ show on the same evening, showcasing their creativity to an audience of fellow hairdressers. The catwalk show had a ‘fashion house’ theme, so the team agian had to organise clothing, make-up and hair styles to reflect their chosen fashion house.
A further delight, at then end of the evening, was that Jagged Edge were awarded ‘Salon Team of the Year’. A great recognition of all the hard work the team has put in this year.
Well done everyone!
